Selina

Selina left university and launched a successful career as a classical musician playing trombone with a number of celebrated orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. However Selina decided this was not the career path she wanted to follow and tried her hand at temping to give her time to decide what she should do.

By chance her first assignment was assisting in the facilities department at ISG London as they were about to undertake a major move, transferring 180 London staff from three administration locations to the company’s new corporate headquarters at Aldgate House. Selina stayed on after the move but her interest in the world of construction had whetted her appetite. She approached London’s New build division to discuss the idea of her studying to go into the financial side of the construction industry. Realising her enthusiasm and potential, New build took her on board as a trainee. Selina commenced both her university studies in Quantity Surveying and her position as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor during 2007.
